Thankful day 4

Today is the day my Dad died 2 yrs ago on election day.
I am so thankful to have had a Wonderful dad.
I had a rough day, I'm sooo tired but I kept to my challenge. I would write this big long post on how great my dad was but my brain is mush.. Sorry

I have a few things I wanna post along with my thankfulness :)

October 28th my friend and I drove an  hour and 1/2 to see Chad Calek from Paranormal State. He is the BIGGER guy that investigates Not Ryan the main guy. He was promoting his new show "The ghost prophecies" airing on A&E Nov. 28. and he also has a new show called American ghost hunters. Not sure if Ryan is in that one. We also found out he is the producer  of all the shows. Aaaannnd he is from around here. Here is a picture of me and Chad.

I was excited and this was a weird picture of me but oh well.

I also wanted to post a picture of the kids from Halloween but blogger wont let me.

Sooo on to the Thankful stuff. I am thankful for a a wonderful husband. He puts up with me and lets me do what I want. He is also a good father.

It's 3 am. The hubby was on the computer last night and so I had kids in bed and layed down while I waited and guess what? yep I fell asleep.

Today I am thankful for the time I get to spend with  my Mother. She is a wonderful person. I spent the day taken her to dr.apt's and shoping. Growing up we didnt get along to well. I was the youngest of 5 and a "late kid" and my was going through the change when I was going through my change (13 or 14yrold) we were kinda rough on my Dad.

I have to add another day later. I promis I will keep up with this!!!

A challenge for me

I am gonna post something Im thankful for everyday. If blogger lets me. Grrrrr! This is my 3rd try at this post.
I am thankful for all my friends. I have a lot and they would be there for me if I needed them.

Last night I watched Hoarders, I just felt really sad for theses people. It's so easy to throw away someone elses shit. The Other day I caught the kids cleaning up a mess, I realized that it was something of mine.. something my dad had given me. So of course I freaked. It felt like they were throwing a peice of my dad away. So I kinda knew how some of those people felt even tho my house is no where near that but just throwing away paople's stuff that has some kind of meaning to it. I would  do anything to just talk to my dad one more time. Nov. 4 will be 2 yrs and it's still hard.

Last night was a real nice night. cool, no wind, so we lit up the out door fire place and roasted marshmellows and the neighbor girl cam over and joined us.

My hubby got out the guitar and sang a few songs too.
I might or might not add a picture of hubby. blogger wont let me.

Anyhoo, This was a long weekend for me. Kids didnt have school on friday and Jim took thursday and friday off for our Anniversary.  Im used to doing "my thing" Oh well it was nice anyway.

Pumpkin patch

It was a nice day and everyone else thought so too.

Yesterday was my 15th wedding anniversary. I wanted to have a party.. Jim didn't. We got a sitter and we went out to eat. That's it. I guess that's what ya do when your OLD.

This week was a busy week. Jim;s birthday, kids fundraising stuff for school (note to self next year were not doing cookie dough fundraiser) Our wedding annv. and ghost hunting.  we had 2 different place to hunt at and I attended only one. Oh crap I forgot I helped with Cowen's kindergarten class to the pumpkin patch. See how busy I was? plus the kids go to rock solid on wed. evenings.
I think this weekend the whole family will go to the pumpkin Patch. We usually have been there a few times already. Sunday is a day for doing laundry and cleaning up the house Yippee.

I also have a new job that starts in Nov. working with a little girl with down syndrome. She is the cutest little thing!!!!!

Harvest of harmony parade

This parade is one of the biggest parades where all the schools bands from all over the state come and play. and there is tons of floats. It was cold at first but fun.

Not much going on. We had teacher conf. tonight and the kids seem to be doing ok. They are teaching these kid stuff I did in jr high ...crazy.
As i was going through some stuff with Cowen that his teacher sent home to study, I was soo proud that all my kids are getting so big. I wondered how diff. things would be if we had another little one around and how comfortable Ive gotten with kids that can do alot for themselves.

Oct 14 is mine and Jim's 15yr wedding Anniversary. Hoping to get some much needed time with the hubby.
15 years have gone by soo fast. Jim's parents are both gone and my Dad is. How I wish I could see my Dad one more time. I miss him soo much!

Im am tired to night, having a hard time writing what I want to post. I seem to be all over the place :P So I guess I better just go to bed.

ER visit

Spent 2 hrs in the ER with my 8yr old. I was making supper when my daughter came in and said she thought she had chicken pox. I said yeah yeah what ever glanced at a little rash on her tummy where she had been scratching. 10 min later she came back and it was all over her body and was welted.  So I decided to take her in to be safe cuz I didnt know what it was and you never know. So she got a shot in the leg  and  that was it, yes 11/2 hrs was waiting to be seen. Oh and we finally go to eat at 9pm

Roller Rink

Ok Im not doing well on this challenge. Been busy with working and the State fair and my Mom. Hmmm maybe I can use this.

So I took My daughters skating friday night until 10pm. their first night skate. They liked it .. I was ready for bed! They had friends there and they did the giggley thing about some boys. I was having flashback from when I was a kid. How I would speed around that rink. I watched a group skate backward and rememberd how it felt when the breeze from going so fast moved my hair. I wished I was back in the 80's just for one night, to be that young , not have a care in the world. I remember doing shoot the duck and trying to pull my best friend down and I hit her in the forehead and she had to get stitches. I met Jim there we skated every couple skate we were 14. I had alot of birthday parties there, I swore we owned that place because we were there so much. 
I didnt skate with my girls, I just watched. I heard a friend ask Teanna "why isnt you Mom skating?" T's reply was "she's not a skater"

30 day blogging challenge day 1

I have to say like others there is alot of music I love. Im an 80's girl so that's what I still listen to. Some stuff that I have been listening to and rocking out to is Prince. I have to admit I never really listened to it when I was in high school. I was busy going to rock concerts and chasing boys. I also was a roller rink girl. That is how I met Jim. I also introduced my Kids to Michele Jackson before he died. We were watching videos on YouTube and the loved him. again I never liked him when I was younger, but you don't realize how of an influence they were. They bring back wonderful memories of skating at the roller rink.

My laptop is giving me fits and wont let me load pictures. must be a sign, im in a crappy mood. Everything seems to go wrong today. I'm going to bed maybe a positive post tomorrow.

A mini Vacation

We took a mini vacation the week before school started. went camping and did fun stuff.

and did some paddle boating.


We went swimming took the kids fishing (didnt get pictures forgot the camera) and tons of other fun stuff. It was a weekend much needed!

County fair is here and they actually had a few rock bands. A bunch of friends and I went. L.A. Guns, April Wine, Light House, Skid Row. S.R. was not as good with out Sebastian Bock but hey Light house rocked my socks off!!!

I have some time to post, hubby took kids to the water park YEAH!!

Summer has been a challenge for me trying to keep kids busy so they are not killing each other or me half killing them so they will leave each other alone. The girls have took turns going to my sisters for a week the got to do farm chore and lean new thing like moewing the lawn. Cowen didnt go he is too young for my sister. She doesnt do little kids any more and he is a had full!!!






The girls played softball this summer and they only lost once and they got medels.


I guess its nap time for me.. yep its 1:30 pm :)

Six years ago today 2 little girls walked into our lives and changed it forever.

The 4th

We had a 4 day weekend or I should say Jim had a 4 day weekend, I had to work sat. and sunday. We just grilled some food at our house and took it to my Moms and watched fireworks from her house since she lives soo close to where the BIG CITY fireworks. Other years we had people over and grilled and did fun things but this year I wasnt in the mood. seems I feel that way alot.
After we watched to the city firworks we went home and shot off our own with our neighbors until midnight. Then we had a day (monday) to sleep in and do nothing all day.

We are going on Vacation in Aug. We really were not planning to go anywhere thid year but Jim couldn't handle it. I would love to go to Colorado to Estes park,Jim want to take the kids horse back riding like he did when he was little. Soo we'll see how things go.

So you think you know a fifth grader???

Well, it sounded good. She will be a fifth grader in Aug. I thought I had her down to a "T" what she liked and what she didnt. Well, I guess it goes to show I know nothing. I took her to wally world to buy a new swimsuit since she left hers at my sisters 3 1/2 hrs away. They dont have much left to choose from so I said you wont like this cuz it will hurt your neck (it was like her other and she complained about it all the time) she didnt like none of them except the one I said she wouldnt like. *sigh*

Today the hubby's band played at HY-VEE in the parking lot for a juvenile diabetes benefit I got to take the kids to watch their daddy play. It was hot but not as hot as fri and sat.

no title

Been busy cleaning out my mom's house. My sister in-law was here from Alaska and helped. I had to work Fathers day weekend. I bought Jim a new grill and he ordered a cover and new untinsils for it from NFL.com.
We are working on having a yard sale this weekend. I am sooo dreding it!!! I have a busy week, Friday I have to be at Trail and Rails in Kearney for Ghost hunting class. I an not teaching nor attending the class I am helping with the class by taking people around to the buildings. fun..fun My only time away from kids and Jim plays this weekend too crap.... need to make some phone calls.

Blahness

Im feeling I need a therapy break, um.. like 2 weeks. Today was a RAD day. I can say I was not the best mommy today. All three ganged up on me and I let them get to me. My Moms birthday is tomorrow and we took her out to eat, I was soo frustrated Im sure she (my Mom) could have did with out it was not enjoyable if thats a word. My husband was yelling at one kid and I was yelling at another. They were acting like a bunch of uncaged apes. My oldest is 9 almost 10 and she was the worst. I know my actions were crazy today and I am not happy with myself. My oldest came up to me a few min. ago and said sorry for the way she acted. That is alot for a RAD kid and I am so proud of her of course I told her I was proud of her for it too. I also apologized for yelling at her. I am soooo ready for school to start!!!

randomness

Ive been lazy on the blogging part. I take care of my Mom all day and then pick kids up from school and I feel whiped out after supper. Thank goodness school is out for the summer this week!!
I hurt my back, not sure when but I have been moving around like an 90yr old. I didnt feel good today and stayed in bed until 12pm. Cowen watched tv and got his owen breakfast. He did a good job but I know if the girls were here there would have been fighting.

Watched the biggest loser, soo sad its over but Glad Mike won. I dont know what Ill do now. I dont watch alot of tv. Im sure We'll be busy with kids softball. It was hot today and we need to get the ac fixed grrrr.. I hate being hot!!

Im sad to see the weekend go. My job always haunts me. why am I still working there if I hate it soo much??? well, Im only working there every other weekend, I love what I do I just dislike the people running the place. I have worked there for 15 years and seen people come and go. But there is something bad going on and I dont want to be apart of it. Thats all Im gonna say.

Today was a beautiful day the sun was out and a cool breeze. I heard it might storm tomorrow :P I helped my Mom go through 3 boxes of crap. I think we need to go through a few each day until we clean her garage out. My brother is still living in the old house and we are slowly cleaning it out so we can sell it. Moving my Mom sounded like a good Idea at the time and none of my sibling's wanna help.

My friend Rach and I broke away from the kids after supper and went for a drive. Both our hubby's were real busy this weekend so we were stuck without any relief. So our drive was fun and much needed!

Hey, 2 days in a row!!
got up this morning and drop kids off to all the right places and bought my Mom breakfast and took it to her. Rained all day. I guess it stormed during the night and I didnt hear it ? Im starting to think mother nature is torturing us.
Had a talk to the hubby about another adoption and watching a couple of people adopting from Ukraine. He was not really excited about it. Our last attempt failed because of money and I think I went crazy, Soo I guess he's not wanting to go there again and money is the BIG issue.
We could do fostercare again and try to adopt that way but I feel like I have unfinished business, I WANT TO ADOPT FROM UKRAINE!
On to something else.
I made hamburger helper for supper. I havent made that in a long time so I made that with corn bread. I was going for fast and easy. I would post a picture but the laptop wont let me. So I guess I say good night.

hello out there

not sure if anyone still reads or looks at my blog but I will post something.

Had a great Mothers Day, had to work but it was great cuz the hubby and the kids cleaned the house and took me and my Mom out for supper.
I havent been around to blog although I find time to check my face book go figure.
A friend and I have joined a ghost hunting group. the only exciting thing I get to do for myself with out kids. I have been taken care of my Mom and thats about all I get done before picking up kids from school and then supper, bath time and bed. It sometimes feels like groundhog day (the movie) everyday.
Got a membership to the Y ... I have only went a few times I need someone to kick me in the ass!! But the hubby seems to be motivated.

The kids are doing good. Destiny has been doing good in school. The older she has gotten the better she understands RAD is not easy.

T is doing good too not problems never has been except a few small things but still ok.
Cowen is still going to OT 2 x's a week and counciling. He got his shots for school next year, poor baby cried so did I. I had a talk with the Dr about all of his behavioral problems so he suggested place where he can be tested. I know when he starts school next year they will ask if he's on meds.

And the puggie are doing good. Im so glad to see spring and summer come. we had a long COLD winter and the pugs didnt like to go out to pee when it was cold

I think mother nature is messin with us all!! It is freezing here!!!

I have been soo busy lately, I cut my hours back at work and I moved my Mom. She lives a block away now and we... I should say I'M trying to get her house empty. After living somewhere for 50 years you collect a bunch of crap!!!

So we had a nice Easter concidering we had a little skuff with Destiny and my Hubby shot the Easter bunny and Santa. D is 9 and she is close to when she could know but he did it in front of the other 2. And I wont go into detail about what happened.

So here I am, I decided that everytime I want to get on facebook I should make a post here first. So I am gonna try to keep my own words.

This month is an exciting month. This thur. I will be chaperoning with my Daughters class to the state capital on a bus!!! I hope I survive!!!
Then on the 26th I am going gohst hunting with a group to a place in Iowa. I am so happy I have joined a good group of people.
